Stardoll Academy!

Hey everyone,
I am sure that most of you already heard about the Stardoll Academy. Lot of us are already starting our year on it.
For people that don't know a lot about it:
Stardoll Academy is Academy about Fame, Fashion and Friends. You can show Stardoll how creative you are and you can make a lot of new friends!
It's all about that Stardoll is telling you what to do, for example "Buy at least 3 sport things in a starplaza and wear them". After everything you do, you will get few starcoins, gifts or stardollars. It's fun and I am sure that most of girls and boys enjoy it.
In some of things you do, you will need some votes in your yearbook, so other girls and boys on Stardoll need to vote your yearbook. They will find it above your suite - it says "Yearbook" and you can vote it by clicking a heart in it.
Also when you are doing things like sceneries, you need to make sure it's beautiful because people are going to watch it and after you are going to save it in your yearbook. So if it's not pretty because you didn't have much time, people are not going to vote it.
You can vote it only if you already started your year on Stardoll Academy. If you didn't, you can't vote others yearbooks.
I hate when everybody's spamming "Vote my yearbook", it's annoying me everyday! You can also send a broadcast, which will get people to your yearbook and vote for it.
So what do you think about it? Do you think it's a good way how to find creative people on Stardoll? I think it is and it's really funny. I'm on it everyday.

My new tablet!

Hey guys, I got a tablet for Christmas and I'm on it right now - writing this post. Sorry for not postinng last few days, I was mostly on Stardoll and Facebook but I totally forgot about the blog. And now I think I will have more time to post here, because I can take my tablet with me anywhere. I am so happy! This was one of best Christmas gifts I ever got. When I was young, I was getting things like dolls, make-up and things like that. And now I finally started getting things that I am using whole days and I can do anything I want on it! So I will try to post more posts here and I hope you will like it guys.

Creative face!

Hey guys,
guess what I just found! This creative doll's face.
I think it's really original, creative and interesting. It's a really good idea, when you do half of a face sweet and the other one is bad. This girl has got a sweet pink girl with make up on left side and on the right side there is a boy with tattoos and black hair. It looks beautiful, doesn't it?



Anyway, I'm going to try something similar. It's going to be the picture of film called "Blood Diamond". On the left side of the face there is a really rich girl wearing diamonds, she's got a make up on and she's got a lot of money. On the left side there is a black girl which has got a blood on her face and on her body, someone stole her diamonds and sold it to the woman on the left side, which doesn't care where do these diamonds come from. It's quite interesting picture:



That's what I'm talking about. You should see this film, it made me cry! I watched it today and there were about 4 scenes that made me cry. The description of this picture is in French, that means I need to translate it to you. It says: Where do your diamonds come from? Before you buy a diamond, check if it's not a blood diamond. - It's sooooooo interesting! I think I'm going to watch this film again, you should download this film too! I hope I will make my doll something like this picture from "Blood diamond". Don't you think it's interesting? Of course it's a bit scary, which makes this film perfect!

Christmas decorations on Stardoll

Hello guys, sorry for not posting last few days. I didn't have much time...

Today we're going to talk about Christmas decorations on Stardoll.
Many people already asked me question "Where can I find Christmas decorations?" - so I decided to put it on a blog.
When you go on "Cover", you'll find a square with items - it says "NEW ITEMS" and you can find it under the NCG. Then you need to click on "items", because now it shows you "fashion". Then you'll find some nice Christmas decorations! Click one one of them if you want to buy anything, and if you want to see more Christmas decorations, click on "more" and you will get into a SuiteShop, which will show you some nice Christmas decorations - one of them is free. I think it's two candles - I think it's really important to have it if you want to decorate your "Christmas room". Few days ago, I saw a free beautiful Christmas tree in Starplaza, but it's gone now. I saw it when I clicked on the button that shows you news in Starplaza. When you go to Starplaza and you click on button which says "Most Popular", you'll find a nice red Christmas tree for 10 stardollars. So if you haven't got any Christmas tree, buy it quickly or it will be gone! I've got a gold Christmas tree and I bought it in StarBazaar, you could look for it, it's beautiful! :)

Do you think everybody should decorate their suite for Christmas?
I think they should, because it has got a Christmas atmosphere, which is really nice!

Where do Stardoll get their ideas from?

Everyone needs an inspiration once in a while, even Stardoll. When I was going through google images the other day, I noticed an image that looked familiar. After looking at it for ages, I realised where I'd seen it before....

And thats when it hit me. I realised that this hair had been used to inspire Stardoll's Tress Up hairdo. The hair looks exactly the same- even those long, whispy strands of hair- even the colour of the fringe (the violet tint)!

 

 

This isn't the first time that Stardoll has "borrowed" ideas from real life items...

Followers - My target

Hey guys,
I'm trying to get 10 or more than 10 followers this month. So 31st December we will have more than 10 followers. And I'm trying to get 10 followers in January too - that means I want to get 10 followers every month. That's my target. It's nice because we can get 10 followers each month and 100 followers in one year, which is pretty much! So PLEASE if you're reading this blog and you're not following it yet, follow it by clicking the blue button at the right side of our blog. It says "Join this site". Thank you very much! We've nearly got 10 followers this month. But we've got a lot of time to the end of this month anyway. It would be my gift for Christmas to have more than 10 followers. :)

Creative StarDesign Hair #2

Hey guys, 

guess what I found on the internet!

Believe or not, the picture below IS made of StarDesign Hair. Really! When I saw it first time I just couldn't believe how can somebody make something beautiful like this! I don't know who made this, but I know one girl from Russia called Kusja - she's making some similar StarDesign things. I like it so much, it looks so creative! And it needs a lot of work, also lot of time! What do you think about this? I think it's BEAUTIFUL.

I'm not really sure, but the owner of this could be Kusja. You should visit her suite, she makes some beautiful things in StarDesign hair, jewellery, fashion and other StarDesign things...
And she's so friendly! OMG, I can't believe I was friend with someone popular just like Kusja. More than 60% people on Stardoll know her and they're from different country. She's from Russia like I said - and she should be proud of it, because Russia is the best! :D

Happy Holidays with Stardoll

Every year, for Christmas, Stardoll produces a lovely advent calendar, where you can pick up beautiful seasonal gifts- some for free, others not. But this year, Stardoll has given us not just one calendar, but two! The best out of the two is probably the Nelly™ calendar. If you're not a Superstar, then you may not agree, but for me, the gifts are pretty gorgeous! It's only the 2nd December today, so only 2 of the gifts have been unveiled, but so far they are nice!

The first gift was a stunning little black tshirt, whith a skull on the front. I am planning to buy this item for myself as it is just marvellous!

The second gift, for 9 Stardollars, is a gorgeous belt, called "Replay Belt". I don't like the way it doubles up, but other than that, I like the pattern on the belt. I wonder what gift will be announced tomorrow?

On the contrary, the Holiday Calendar does not live up to the Nelly™ Calendar. The layout of the gifts is very pretty and festive, but the gifts (so far) have been pretty much big let downs. The first gift was a very ugly Christmas Tree Shelf, and the second was an irrelevant Saturn Lamp. What does Saturn have to do with Christmas?

What are your thoughts on these new Calendars, and do you think you're going to buy anything from them?

Beautiful Medolls #2: El3ktrO_GirL

Whilst visiting on of my good friends on Stardoll, I came across a member under the name of El3ktrO_GirL. She is a fairly experienced member of Stardoll, and at level 56, she has managed to achieve a royalty status. She is highly visited and hugely gorgeous, so I thought she deserved a mention in our blog.

I made four very different looks using her clothes, and I think they all look super with her medoll. In the first, a simple scarf, hobo hat, free Black Friday bag, vintage belt, beastly glasses and sheer black socks are the accesories used. All together they work stunningly well, and I think this outfit looks very vintage inspired. I especially love the bag- it's such a shame that I never quite reached it in the Black Friday Gift-o-meter. It looks very Autumn styled, so I love it very much. Moving on the second outfit.
This looks really Folk, Boho, I think. The huge faux fur vest is obviously the shining star of the outfit, and I love it dearly. Underneath I simply added an IT Girls vest, and an Archive cardigan. The colours look lovely together, and the necklace just makes it look fantastic together. I added a Sunny Bunny hair-peice (the fringe) for effect, and a change. The leggings confused me slightly, as I wasn't sure if they were a skirt, or actually leggings *tehe!*. I just added the striped shoes because they rock.

Thirdly, this outfit looks very formal, business like. I think that this is possibly my favorite from the whole four looks, as it just looks really posh. The V.I.P necklace is the reason why this looks so editorial, and perhaps the blazer- I would love to get my hands on one of these  blazers! I put the doll in a Windows on the World blouse, stardesign skinnies and starcoin boots *from a shop I cant remember the name of...*. I added the metal cuff because I felt that the outfit was lacking in accesories.

Lastly, is this very casual outfit. I put a collared shirt underneath the skeleton shirt from Evil Panda, and the Fallen Angel jacket is one of my favorite items on the whole website! Finally, the jeans from PPQ added casualness to the look, the creepers were again, just added because I like them, and I felt that the bag really matched the jacket.

Stardoll on Windows 8!

Hey guys!
Did you hear about new Windows 8?
It was released only few days ago! Well, it was released last Friday. If you have a touchscreen device that supports Windows 8, you can now use Stardoll.com with touch functionality!
It's fun, I want it for Christmas! It would be much easier to have something like this, it will be quicker too.
It would be cool if it worked by touching the screen, I didn't ever try to play Stardoll by touching the screen. Well, only on my phone. But it's a bit different to play Stardoll on a phone - I can't really do things like go to my suite on a phone. You can do EVERYTHING on Stardoll by using Windows 8 - it's so interesting!
I must have it! :D

I wasn't really looking at the hand touching the screen, I was looking at how many stardollars has the doll got and I was so excited when I saw 7 thousand and something! :D Well, I can't really see it, but I can see few numbers and the first one is 7. OMG, I want to have that much stardollars! That would be big shopping!

Creative StarDesign Hair #1

Hey guys,

one of my everyday's posts will be "Creative StarDesign Hair" and it will be about dolls, which make beautiful things in StarDesign Hair! I hope you will enjoy this.

For today's post about StarDesign hair I decided to show you beautiful pieces of work from a boy called Luhs2cas. I love all of his StarDesign hair! I think he's the most creative boy on Stardoll ever. I've never seen something like this made of hair in StarDesign, it's impossible! Respect for this boy from Brazil! You've got some pictures that he made in StarDesign hair below. 

The first one is the one that I like the most. I watched Twilight few minutes ago! :)

New Search in Starplaza?

I don't know about you but I used to really like the old search in Starplaza- entering the information you needed to find the items you wanted was fast, simple and quick. But Stardoll changed it to this new catalogue feature, which means that you have to trawl through endless categories and subcategories to find something that you want. You can't even seperate the clothing from Stardollars from Starcoins now, which means that surfing Starplaza is time consuming and it gives your computer a terrible lag.

 

 

Stardoll recently unleashed a Christmas decor range, yet I cannot find it anywhere on Search, apart from the items shown in the image above, and none of them interest me at all. But this isn't the worst part- oh no. I suppose the fact that you can nail your searches down to "bras, pants, socks" etc should be a good thing, but with so many categories, it's hard to work out which one your chosen item falls into! Firstly, when you click on "Fashion" it freezes your computer for several seconds, which means it takes longer to find something you want. Now imagine that you have to go through about seven different subcategories, thats minutes. Imagine now, that you don't know what your after exactly, and your just browsing. Each category freezes for five seconds. Your going to be here all night. *Or day...*

New sceneries?

Stardoll's got some fantastic news this week!

New sceneries!
There is a new way how to make the sceneries. It's much easier than the old one. And it's more funny to make it! If you didn't try it yet, try it now. I'm sure you will enjoy, because everyone enjoys making new sceneries!
Well, I didn't really like making sceneries, but when I heard about the new ones and I tried it, I was so excited to make another one!

Beautiful Medolls #1: PippaPerfect

I really have to admit that none of the new Limeted Edition items particularly caught my eye this time around, as they were all so tacky and they pretty much sold out within six hours of the store being open! I think that all of the items are now out of stock, which is a shame really because it didn't give alot of people chance to get anything. Because of the time difference in countries, some countries were at an advantage.

One of the items that I've seen people wearing is the steampunk platforms, which didn't impress me at all the first time I ever saw them; that was until this evening, when I saw a user wearing them. PippaPerfect's suite really is perfect, as the name suggests. The shoes are really something that you have to be careful whe wearing, as they are very... statement.

 

As well as the shoes being quite hard to accesorize, the clothes worn with them are not very well suited to the season that we are in, which is of course, Winter! *roll on christmas*. I decided I would go back Summery for this one outfit, and I think it works very well. I am a HUGE fan of the shorts, as they look really awesome with every single peice of this outfit. The majority of the clothes here were from the new Real Brand store, Nelly. You should check it out, I got loads of awesome things from there on my wishlist at the moment.

Welcome to our new blog called "Our Stardoll Secrets"!

My name is Kate and I love Stardoll!
I love blogging too, that's why me and my friend Alicia created this blog.
Christmas are coming and I look forward it so much! We wanted to make this blog look more pretty, so you can see the tree at the background.

What will I write about?

Introducing Alicia!

I am Alicia, a.k.a Aliciasaurus. I'm 14 years of age, and I live in the United Kingdom. I'm one half of this blog, the other being the one and only Kate! I thought I'd give you all a little background information on myself before I began with the blogs. I don't know where to begin xD!

Erm, well, I like the Hunger Games, Josh Hutcherson, Photography, Asking Alexandria, Good Charlotte, Rock Music etc. Most importantly, I love writing! Stories, Songs, Blogs, I love them all! *Tehe!* I am on level 54 on Stardoll, I'm not the most popular member but I try my best with my suite and medoll. I try to make it look amazing, I fail miserably  xD! *tehe!*
